I really like this post because it has everything to do with I was talking about today at church. Unfortunately there are many people in church only playing a role of "christian"... sure they read the Bible or pray at church so everybody can see how holy they are. However outside the four walls of the church they are completely somebody else. I was like that before I converted; inside the church it was too easy to fool anybody with a sweet smile and few words of faith. Outside the church I wanted to be like all the other girls! I only cared about my appearance, how popular I could be and how many friends I had.. what a joke right?

The various preaches I heard at church were only words to me, I didn't care! Everything else was far more important to me than God. However you can't hide behind the mask of hypocrisy forever. Slowly but surely your actions and words show who you really are... completely empty.

Thank God I heard His Words in time so I could repent and really convert but its not like that with the majority of people. Telling people all the stories of the Bible or acting all holy in front of others is really easy but that doesn't make you a person of God.

Stop pretending to be something you are not! Make a decision today... after all WHO ARE YOU?

"So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot or cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth" Revelations 3:16

I'm Singing

So many of you know I love to sing! I guess is not much of a secret...lol :) However I've been asked why do I sing at church, why do I like it so much.. You might think "Oh that's a easy question"... funny thing I never found enough words to explain.

Recently I was listening to my new cd and I came across a song named I'm Singing. While I was listening I was like "Yes! that's exactly why! So I wanted to share with yall, why I'm Singing :)

What's your offering?

Wow, its been quite a long time since I've written anything in this blog but I haven't forgotten about my dear readers :) So Happy New Year everybody!!

So many things have happened in my life in the past few months; some good but others not so much. However as I reflect back I realize it's all part of God's will being done in my life. These moments made me stronger, wiser, mature and much more understanding. I have new goals, things I want to accomplish and I know I'll get there!

 I want to emphasize the importance of each one of us to take part in the work of God. We must understand that when we give our best at whichever responsibility we have at church, we are giving a offering to God. '

It's like the story of Cain and Abel. Cain gave the leftovers of his crops, the ones he didn't need. There are many Cains around churches; these people are usually complaining about everything. They feel like the little they do is already a burden, an obligation. These people never really give their all... no wonder they never see results. On the other hand we have Abel, the youth that gave the best sheep in his flock as a sacrifice to God. Abel had a heart for God, a heart wanting to please God. Abel in churches nowadays are quite hard to find... they are the ones that serve with a smile on their faces; if rebuked they learn, grow and move on because they know it's God taking care of them. They love to serve because they love God. They don't care if people will recognize them but they know that God sees what they do. The modern day Abel treat the work of God with fear and dedication... and that's why they bear fruits on what they do.

There are many Cains and Abel out there... who are you?

The Women that helped me- Mrs.Leia

Mrs.Leia came to Austin with her sweet and caring personality. She slowly started to gain our trust and we gained hers. I remember her always telling stories about her times as an assistant, first years of marriage, her conversion. She started to help us with her faith, and we had a friend in her. I loved staying the whole day in the church because she would teach me how to cook, iron...

Her example made me want to be like her. She always gave a word of faith, and would lift us up. She would laugh with us and make us smile when we felt down.

She disciplined us to become women of God. She believed

in each one of us, she knew we could do so much more.

She made me realize how much I needed God in my life, she prayed for me, she taught me, she wasn't just the pastor's wife... she was much more than that.

Did I mention that she got all of us to wear skirts one day??

Dear Mrs.Leia

Thank you for everything you've done for me. I love you so much! I know you will make the difference anywhere you go. I will always cherish you in my heart and know that I appreciate everything you taught me. Thank you for being patience and loving all the way. Thank you for helping me in the long journey of conversion. Thank you for your example. Thank you for your prayers, advice and laughs. May God bless you more and more!

Liar,Liar

Like I mention on my testimony I used to be a two-faced. My life was a complete lie, since I used lies as my base of living. Was I happy ? Well I tried to be but it never happen. I had this empty feeling that destroyed me little by little. No matter how hard I tried, I felt like I was slowly losing control of my life. I had no vision or reason to be happy.

As I think of my past I think about how many youths are losing themselves in this world. They use lies as a escape to the consequences of their actions. In the beginning lying is easy to lie but the more lies you use the hardest it becomes to keep up. You use lies to cover lies and you come to a point that you lose control. It's a mess. You start believing your own lies and nothing make sense anymore.. personal experience.

Dear reader, free yourself from this character.God can change you, if YOU want. The question is : Do You want it ??

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Psalms 12:22

It's All or Nothing

While talking to a good friend of mine, she told me she told that she was decided to give her life to God 100%. My heart was filled with joy because it's one more soul for Jesus. I had to make the same decision, either I converted or I didn't. I realized that this decision would change my life forever. I thank God for the many chances He gave to change and take this decision. With God it's all or nothing my friend. At some point in your life you'll have to decide if you want to start an amazing life with God by your side or stay in this filthy world. If you decide to start with God, take the first step and give to Him everything...100%. He wants your broken heart so He can heal it. He wants your dreams because He has a much better plan for you. He wants your faithfulness so He can use you. He wants to show what unconditional love really means. Dear reader, jump onto His Arms and experience a new life. What more can I say?

Be friends with the mirror..

"I'm so ugly!"...."I'm so fat!"... "Look at my hair"... "Gosh, I'm so disgusting"...."Nobody ever notice me"! It's the most common sentences I hear around girls. I actually used to say them myself.

The cold reality is that girls nowadays hate how they look. The mirror is their enemy and they can't stand themselves. Why does that happen?

Girls are influenced by what the media say its good to wear, perfect hair, ideal weight. So young ladies look at themselves and they think they are not enough.

Dear friend, God created you in perfection. Your skin, body, hair.. He did it with love :)

Beyond what the world says or what the media shows YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! Next time you look in the mirror, notice what you DO like about yourself. You'll start to love yourself inside out.

Because you ARE God's beautiful creation, right?
